A brief history of Princess Aurora.

Princess Aurora made her first appearance in the movie Sleeping Beauty a 1959 animated film produced by Walt Disney. Aurora is introduced in the movie as a baby, being christened. The bad guy of the movie, the evil sorceress Maleficent was not invited to this event and placed a curse on Aurora as punishment. This curse involved Aurora touching a spindle and dying on her 16th birthday. This curse was weakened into her falling into a deep sleep should the curse be fulfilled. Aurora was taken into a forest to be raised by three fairies. She encounters a Prince, who without knowing, she was destined to marry.
Aurora ended up touching the spindle on her 16th birthday and fell into a deep sleep, cursing all of the kingdom to the same fate until she awakens. She is awoken by Prince Philip at the end of the movie to restore both Aurora and the kingdom to its awakened state and she lives happily ever after.
